Coach Beason raved about the redshirt lift that occurred on Wednesday night. His quote was, "I wish you could have witnessed the energy in the redshirt workout last night. It was very inspiring. There are a bunch of those guys that really get after it in the weight room and are developing as leaders."
On another Redshirt note, we had our second Redshirt scrimmage yesterday, and the guys did not disappoint. We did some 3-on-3 and 1-on-1 drills, and there was some major hitting going on. Philip Mion got after it as well as anyone out there. Cordell Rhodes also impressed with his pursuit of the football and tenacity, and Marquale Pierson & Joe English also laid some big licks. Sammy Williams looked very good running the ball, as did Ryan Brown. We also saw some great blocking out of Clayton Lemmons and Conner Walkup.
I look forward to several great years with these young men. They have a chance to be a special group.
